Employee Bio: Shawn Barker
Well, it eventually had to get to me.
I have been with Ticomix since 2004. I began as one of our Xerox sales agents. As with most small companies, my duties changed and were added to over time. I quickly moved into account management for our network division as well as coordinating the schedules of our network consultants. Now, I am happy to say that I am the account manager for our Network Division. I also take care of some of our marketing efforts including our radio coverage.
I am originally from Rockford. My wife Juli and I have 2 children. Our 10 year old son, Jackson, is a true athlete. If he’s not moving fast or scoring points, he’s not interested. Our 16 year old daughter, Jordan, just turned 16. The only thing on her mind these days is…driving (cards & well wishes are appreciated & can be sent to the Ticomix office to the attention of Shawn Barker). Read more....

I am excited to announce we have acquired and combined the operations of Unique Solutions Software, Inc. (USS) with Ticomix as of August 31, 2009. USS was previously located in Pecatonica and they have all been relocated to the Rockford Ticomix office. Unique Solutions Software (USS) provides silmilar services as Ticomix but broadens our capabilities with custom programming services as well as expertise in the accounting system called ALERE from TIW. Additionally, USS has its own product line called Unity. Check Unity out at http://www.unitydc.com.
As you know, our business is about people and the thing I’m most excited about is getting Don Knoup, David Knoup and Mike Karstetter on the Ticomix team. David and Don are brothers and I could tell after our first meeting that they are men of integrity and understood the value of hard work.
